About
We firmly believe that digital access is a human right. Every year, millions of electronic devices are discarded while vulnerable individuals are left digitally excluded. We aim to change that.
We are trialing a program to gather e-waste (usable but obsolete laptops and tablets) and give it a second life by distributing it to people in need: domestic violence survivors, former prisoners, victims of crime, psychiatric patients, and people with disabilities or experiencing homelessness.
We are unpaid volunteers working with donated equipment. Together, we bridge the digital divide and reconnect lives.
We are based in Bundoora, Victoria, Australia and some of us have lived experience of disability and surviving DV. We are in the early stages of developing the logistics for delivery.
The current grant environment is extremely difficult. We do not expect to receive government funding in the foreseeable future.
It is early days for this program. Its nature might change. It may not work out. Let's find out.
